DNA microarray. Computer display of a section of a genome (the sequenced genes of an organism) produced by DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) microarray technology. The pattern of coloured dots indicates the presence of specific target sequences in the sample. Microarrays can be used to study gene expression or detect mutations.
