Chinese lantern plant (Physalis franchetti) with orange fruits. The orange part is actually the calyces of the fruit, papery outer petals that enclose the berry-like true fruit within. The Chinese lantern produces colourful flowers in summer, but it is grown predominantly for these decorative fruits, produced in autumn.
