Pacific yew tree (Taxus brevifolia), the source of the anticancer drug taxol. This drug is isolated from the bark of this tree. Chemotherapy using taxol has a high success rate against breast and ovarian cancers. The Pacific, or western, yew grows along the north-western coast of North America.
