Yew trees (Taxus baccata) in an ornamental garden. In a process known as topiary, the trees have been carefully shaped and pruned to form pyramids. The yew is native to most of Europe and individual trees have been known to live for as much as 2000 years. Photographed at Athelhampton in Dorset, UK.
