White willow Hutchinson's Yellow" (Salix alba vitellina). This form of the white willow is most easily distinguished in its early years when its twigs are bright yellow (as seen). Adult plants can grow to as much as 30 metres, although between 10 and 25 metres is more common. It is well established in, but not native to, Britain and Ireland and was once useful in basket making. Nowadays it uses are mainly ornamental."
