Fritillary flowers (Fritillaria meleagris) growing in a meadow. These flowers are part of the lily family. They appear in April and May in damp meadows, often forming large colonies where the ground is left unploughed. The yellow organs of sexual reproduction, the anthers and stigma, can be seen inside one of the flowers.
