Orchid flower (Cephalanthera epipactoides). The flower, seen from the side, is not fully opened. The Cephalanthera orchids are terrestrial orchids (ones that grow in the soil). They are found in the temperate regions of Europe, Africa and Asia. There are more than 30,000 species of orchids worldwide, many of which are grown as ornamental flowers.
