Jelly fungus (Tremella foliacea) growing on bark. Wet conditions are required to form the gelatinous fruiting body seen here. The Tremella fungi are parasitic on wood decay fungi found in dead and rotting wood. They play an important role in keeping the decay of dead wood in check.
