Amanita muscaria is closely related to the Death Cap toadstool (A. phalloides) and is found on woodland floors. The toxins of A. muscaria are not normally lethal, but will often induce hallucinations. The hallucinogenic substances it contains are derivatives of isoxazole and ibotenic acid.
