Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria) mushroom, photographed in the New Forest, Hampshire. Amanita muscaria is a toxic fungus, closely related to the Death Cap (A. phalloides), and is found on woodland floors. The toxins of A. muscaria are not normally lethal, but will often induce hallucinations. The hallucinogenic substances are derivatives of isoxazole and ibotenic acid.
