Torus. Computer model of the three-dimensional projection (or shadow) of a 4-dimensional torus, a mathematical shape. The projection is partially transparent to show the convoluted structure. The torus does not actually have this structure in the fourth dimension. The convoluted structure results from viewing it in only three dimensions. This model was created as an artwork by Professor Eric Heller.
