A trio of images showing activity at Active Region 652 on the Sun. At left are a pair of large sunspots in visible light, which correspond to an image of the Sun taken by the Extreme ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (EIT) of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) at 171 angstroms (blue) shows loops and other structures indicative of magnetic activity. And a (Large Angle and Spectrometric Coronagraph) LASCO C2 coronagraph (right) shows the largest coronal mass ejection from AR 652.
