Paul MacCready, seen here on El Mirage Dry Lake, was in a league of his own as inventors go. Inventor of the Gossamer Condor & Albatross, (twice winners of Kremer prizes), a wing-flapping flying scale model of a Pterosaur, among many unique creations. The drylake was his wind-tunnel and a favorite testing ground. Circa 1986.
