This laboratory evaluated the design criteria for crew safety and comfort. Performance of space suits, regulators, tubing, masks and associated equipment for dispensing respiratory gasses and for ventilation were studied by analyzing respiratory gases. A treadmill is available for determining physiological factors during exercise while wearing space suits in a variety of modes.
