Silica deposits on the shoreline around a geothermal area next to the Reykjanesvirkjun Power Plant in Iceland. The Reykjanesvirkjun power plant is one of a kind, as it is the first in Iceland to be equipped with two 50 MW twin steam turbines. These steam turbines utilize a separated pumping system that has an overall capacity of 2 x 2000 liters per second. The output capacity of the Reykjanesvirkjun power plant is about 100 MW.
