Queen Elisabeth II, Monarch of the United Kingdom, and her husband, the Prince Consort Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, are welcomed by the mayor Giovanni Favaretto Fisca on Riva degli Schiavoni, in front of Palazzo Ducale. The monarchs are in Italy on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Italy's unification.
