Tadpoles of the Mexican spadefoot toad, one eating a fairy shrimp. Spea multiplicata. Synonyms include Scaphiopus multiplicatus and Scaphiopus hammondi multiplicata. This species was once called the southern spadefoot toad. Captured in the Sonoran Desert near Robles Junction, Southeastern Arizona, USA. Photographed under controlled conditions
