Pupa of a sphinx moth (hawk moth) in leaf litter. Pseudosphinx tetrio. Native to subtropical areas of the New World; larva feeds on frangipani (aleli) plants of the genus Plumeria. Mona Island, Puerto Rico, USA. See larvae in PRM-0060 and PRM-0061, and adult in PRM-0063.
