Larvae of a sphinx moth (hawk moth), with aposomatic coloration (warning coloration), a caterpillar that is distasteful to birds and mammals but is relished by the Mona Island iguana. Pseudosphinx tetrio on Plumeria obtusa. Native to subtropical areas of the New World; habitually feeds on frangipani (aleli) plants of the genus Plumeria. Mona Island, Puerto Rico, USA.
