Ancient and enormous male Galapagos land iguana basking on a rock above a nesting blue-footed booby bird. Conolophus subcristatus; Sula nebouxii. This iguana, photographed here in 1991, is no doubt one of the individuals translocated to North Seymour from Baltra back in the mid-to-late 1920s. He was wearing a painted number 026 and color-coded plastic pegs at the base of his tail (red, orange, and green). North Seymour Island, Galapagos Archipelago, Ecuador.
