Headward gully erosion, Australia. Headward gully erosion of an intermittent watercourse in dry climate Belah/Cypress closed woodland, after a major rainfall event (92mm in one night). Water undercuts the head of the gully and undermines vegetation. Sediment is carried downstream causing silting.
