The Great Buddha (better known as Kamakura Daibutsu) at the Kotokuin Temple in Kamakura, Japan. The Great Buddha of Kamakura is a bronze statue of Amida Buddha. At a height of 13.35 meters, it is the second largest Buddha statue in Japan (the largest is located in the Todai-ji Temple in Nara). Kotokuin Temple belongs to the Jodo Buddhist sect.
