Lake Yamma, Queensland, Australia, True Colour Satellite Image. The Lake Yamma is a salted lake located in a semi-arid area. The lake evaporates totally during the dry season. During austral winter, the ochre soil of the desert is covered by rivers filled with sand, clay and salt that render that blue colour. Image taken on 18 July 1990 using LANDSAT data.
