Robert Winston. Caricature of the British doctor, broadcaster and politician Robert Winston (born 1940). Winston is professor of fertility studies at the Imperial College School of Medicine, and a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Hammersmith Hospital, London. He was made a life peer in 1995, and serves as the chairman of the House of Lords Select Committee on science and technology. His work came to media attention in 1978 when his team created the first test tube baby, Louise Brown. He has presented numerous television documentaries including 'Making Babies' and 'The Human Body'.
