Two women are waiting (left), while the pharmacist (right) selects ingredients from the shelves to prepare a remedy. The role of modern pharmacists originated from the older profession of apothecary. This artwork is held at the Musee Cantonal des Beaux-Arts de Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland.
