Trilobite fossil. Fossil of a trilobite (Phacops rana africana) from the middle Devonian period (around 396 to 385 million years ago), superimposed on an image of the sea. Trilobites are extinct arthropods. This species is characterized by its large eyes and size, up to 15 cm. This specimen was found in limestone in Southern Morocco and measures 10 cm long.
