Tritium. Atomic model of tritium a radioactive isotope of hydrogen. Isotopes are forms of an element that contain different numbers of neutrons in the atomic nucleus (centre). Tritium has two neutrons (white) and one proton (pink) in its nucleus, whereas hydrogen has no neutrons. The atom also has one electron (blue) orbiting the nucleus.
