Anchiornis huxleyi feathered dinosaur, artwork. This non-avian dinosaur is shown hunting a flying insect from a tree branch. A. huxleyi was identified in 2009, based on fossils found in China dating from the Jurassic. The colour patterns of this dinosaur has been determined by comparisons with the the cellular structures of modern birds.
