Helmet and dog tags of Sgt. Lionel J. Paquette on a cross made from bamboo, in Burma (Myanmar). He was a World War II special forces soldier with Merrill's Marauders, who entered Burma in April 1944 with a force of 2,200. At the end of five months of fighting against the Japanese, wounds, disease and hunger reduced the original force to 130 fighting men.
