MODEL RELEASED. Head acupuncture. Tibetan medical practitioners perform golden needle therapy, a type of acupuncture, on a patient's head. During the therapy, a gold-coloured ribbon is placed from the first vertebra to the tip of the nose. Another is placed across the patient's head. A warmed acupuncture needle is then inserted into the skin where the two ribbons meet. The herb moxa is then placed on the upper part of the tip and burnt, so keeping the needle warm.
