Houses surround the boats moored in the marina, while the parks include Marina Bay Park (upper centre) that has a Rosie the Riveter memorial to the women who worked in the World War II shipyard on this site. Two smaller parks are at lower left and lower centre. Image data obtained on 25 July 2009. The US-operated GeoEye-1 satellite was launched in September 2008, and orbits at a height of 680 kilometres. It is the world's highest resolution commercial Earth-imaging satellite.
