Common muntjac deer (Muntiacus muntjak), artwork. This small deer is found in densely vegetated areas of southern and south-eastern Asia, such as grasslands, savannahs, and scrub forests. It is an omnivore, feeding on bird's eggs and and small mammals as well as grasses, twigs, berries, seeds and leaves. The male has the small antlers seen here.
