A rock covered in channeled wrack seaweed, Pelvetia canaliculata, a species of brown alga which grows above the normal high tide mark and is only covered by spring tides. The channelled wrack takes its name from the curled edges of its fronds, which form water-retaining channels. The species is used for cattle food in some parts of Scotland.
