On the trail between Bujuku Hut (13,000 feet) and the Scott Elliot Pass (14,350 feet), tree Senecios, or Giant Groundsels frame Mount Baker (15,889 feet).The Rwenzori Mountain range is the only snow-covered range south of the Atlas Mountains in sub-Sahara Africa. It has a unique afro-montane vegetation due to a combination of altitude, high rainfall and almost constant cloud-cover with drenching mists.
