Portugal, Alentejo, Vila Vicosa. The main street in the small town of Vila Vicosa in the Alentejo region of Portugal. It is overlooked by the castle built by King Dom Dinis at the end of the 13th century. Vila Vicosa is commonly referred to as a 'marble town' because it is surrounded by marble mines. The pavements are made of white marble, aswell as the road signs.
