Nepal, Solo-Khumbu, Above Chukkung. Ama Dablam (north face), seen from above Chukkung. Ama Dablam is one of the most distinctive mountains lining the Klumbu valley. At 6856m or 22,494ft, it is by no means the highest mountain in the area, but it is one of the most striking in appearance. First climbed on 1961 by Gill, Bishop, Ward and Romanes.
