The Pir-I Alamdar Tomb-tower, Damghan, Semnan Province, northeast Iran, constructed 1026-27 AD. Built just before the Seljuk conquest of Iran, when the era was still controlled by the Ghaznavids. Its use of decorative brickwork subsequently acted as a model for Seljuk architecture throughout their domains.
