Female siskin (Carduelis spinus). The Eurasian siskin is a type of finch. It breeds in northern Europe, parts of Russia and eastern Asia, and migrates south in the winter. It favours coniferous woodland. Its plumage is grey-green with a grey-white underside and black and yellow wings. The siskin is approximately 12 cm in length.
