Eurasian oystercatcher nest (Haematopus ostralegus) containing three eggs close to Het Noorden windmill. The Eurasian oystercatcher breeds in western Europe, central Eurasia, China and the western coast of Korea. The nest is a bare scrape in the ground and between 2 and 4 eggs are laid. Photographed in Het Noorden polder, on Texel Island, the Netherlands, in May.
