Fer-de-lance (Bothrops atrox). This species of pit viper is highly venomous and can be fatal to humans. Adults grow up to 125cm in length. It is native to the tropical lowlands of South America. Photographed in Yasuni National Park, Amazon rainforest, Ecuador.
