Limpet trails. Common limpets (Patella vulgata) usually return to the same position on a rock which causes circular marks to be worn by their shells. During high seas and at night, they move from their usual position to graze on algae from surrounding rocks. Photographed at Kimmeridge in Dorset, UK.
