Mexican red rump tarantula (Brachypelma vagans). This spider is native to Mexico, but can also be found in Belize, El Salvador and Guatemala. It is a burrowing spider and will defend its territory aggressively. It feeds on insects, small lizards and rodents. Photographed in Belize, Central America.
