Bee honey dance, computer artwork. When honey bees (Apis mellifera) return to the hive after finding a source of nectar, they perform this dance to tell other bees where to find the nectar. This is thought to be instinctive behaviour. Dances include the round dance and the waggle dance, and relate to the position of the Sun, and the relative distance and direction of the food source.
