Assassin bug (family Reduviidae) on a leaf. Assassin bugs are so called because they use their proboscis to inject saliva into their prey. This liquifies the insides of their victim, which are then sucked out. Photographed in Yasuni National Park, Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador.
