Submerged ship wreck. This is a fish attraction device (FAD). It has been sunk to provide shelter for schooling fish. This is of benefit to areas that have depleted fish stocks and can also be a scuba diving attraction. Unfortunately FADs may be detrimental to overall fish stocks in the region, attracting fishermen and thus resulting in continued overfishing. Photographed in Malaysia.
