Computer hard disc. This piece of hardware equipment consists of a read-write head (left) on a hard disc (round) that is coated on both sides with a magnetic material. Information is written and accessed by means of small electromagnets in the read-write head. The disc rotates on a central spindle and the head moves radially to access different parts of the disc.
