This facility consists of an array of heliostats, large mirrors mounted on moveable frames, which track the sun across the sky and concentrate its light onto a central receiver mounted on top of the tower. A pressurized fluid inside the receiver (which is not visible here) is heated by the concentrated sunlight until it vaporizes and can be used to drive a turbine and generate electricity.
