Inside Mir. Cosmonaut Valeri G. Korzun amongst pipes within a node that connects several modules that form part of the Russian Mir space station. The addition of modules onto the core of Mir has increased the space station's mass from its original 21 tonnes to over a 100 tonnes. Korzun is the commander of the Mir-22 mission, being one of three crew members during this time. Photographed in September 1996 whilst the American space station Atlantis had docked with Mir to deliver supplies and exchange personnel.
