Rocket production. Historical photograph of the warehouse in which the rocket Jupiter C was constructed. This was part of the Army Ballistic Missile Agency (ABMA) in Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama, USA. Jupiter C was a research rocket used for three sub-orbital spaceflights that took place in 1956 and 1957. A variant of Jupiter C, called Juno I, was used to launch Explorer I (Satellite 1958 Alpha), America's first satellite, from its launch pad at Cape Canaveral, Florida, on 31 January 1958.
