The head, lower arms and feet have been added by computer manipulation. Major muscles are seen in the neck, shoulders, upper arms, and thighs. Central thoracic bones of the spine show white spinal discs; the lungs (brown) are seen in the thorax. In the abdomen is liver, two kidneys (light brown), and bladder (white) in the pelvic region. The Visible Human Project is a US project to archive both a male and female body. Each body is CT and MRI scanned, and sectioned into slices. The project is for medical research and education.
